HOPE’s afer-school program was created to give teens with disabilities a fun place to go after school.  However, this is not just a “place”  to drop off your kid  …it is much, much, more. Here at HOPE we have created a place that promotes lasting relationship and life skills that go beyond what one learns in school.  Through peer to peer relationships with high school volunteers we are able to create a nurturing environment to fine tune the needed skills to create friendships, keep a job, stand up for yourself, and be safe in the environment around you.  These teenagers are on the cusp of adulthood and so these skills are invaluable lessons to learn.  For many of our teens these skills do not come naturally and may even seem awkward and extremely difficult,  that is why we provide a safe and fun place to practice, practice, practice!

Through sports, games, art, dance, social skills, and martial arts, we are able to work on these areas.
